It’s His War Now

Afghanistan

The President has decided to send 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan.  Let’s hope this works and we can get out by 2011 with as little life harmed.

We should actually be withdrawing from Afghanistan now.  The Afghans’ history of successful resistance to outside powers and our own economic needs at home should make this a no-brainer.

But the military-industrial complex won’t even allow this option on the table.  Our leaders have apparently become completely subservient to military power in this nation.

What ever happened to civilian control of the military?
